How many of us look at our life and think: crazy, hectic, BUSY!!!!
I know that I do most of the time. Between my full time job which keeps me running constantly throughout the day, to my music ministry that I do part time, it can be rather chaotic. Especially when you remember, YES I have kids!!!! Even if they are older they still need time from me as well. And I forgot to mention, just started back to school and we are trying to help as well on our worship team at church as much as we can!!!! Makes my head spin thinking about it. I do believe that God carries us through our different seasons. I realize that Sergio and I are in a "busy" season. After prayer and seeking the Lord, we know that God has us doing all the things we actively participate in. He is growing us and pouring into us His will for our lives, so we accept this mission 😊
What I hope that each and everyone reading this remembers is simply this:

Setting boundaries in our lives is the only way to ensure we stay healthy physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Even Jesus set boundaries. If we read Mark 4: 35-40, you find out Jesus took a nap while in the boat with the disciples. Jesus was on a mission: healing and performing miracles while teaching the gospel but He even recognized when he needed rest.
One of my devotionals gave 3 ways to help us stay focused and to prioritize our time.
1. Making sure we are spending intentional time with God.

Reading scripture and spending time in prayer with our Father is one of the best things we can provide for our body, spirit and mind. God wants us to desire a relationship with Him.

2. Add time in to connect intentionally with others.

Sometimes we can unintentionally allow our work for others and the Lord keep us from focusing on things that God instructs us to cherish and protect such as our spouse or children.
I know in our home we try to make a movie night weekly with Ali to give her one on one and as simple as this sounds I try to prepare a homemade meal every night for my children and husband so that we can sit down and connect as we "break bread" together. I encourage you married folks to start making date nights and weekend getaways even if they are once a season. You and your spouse I'm sure can use some ADULT time. God created us for relationship with one another and we have to take care of that relationship.

3. Add in time for yourself.

I'm not sure what your hobbies may be but make effort to figure that out and do it! I know for me it's music, so there's nothing better than relaxing on a Friday evening with my hubby ( which is awesome we both have an intense love and desire) doing music. We can sing and play around, work on our skills or write new things and it's truly refreshing to my soul. Maybe you like painting? Start painting! Maybe you love sports? Start playing! Whatever you do, do it will a joyful heart knowing that God wants the best for you. He came so that you can have life and have it abundantly!!!!
Don't let your life get so busy with things we think we “should” do, instead seek God and let Him figure out what we were meant to do. ❤️
